After an opening set of mostly electropop inspired by my top song 4EVER by Clario, I put together a set of band I saw at the Osheaga music festival in Montreal.  I only went for 1 day as all the acts I wanted to see played the first day of the festival and with the heat it would have been a tough slog going for the entire 3 days.  You can hear my thoughts on the bands I saw on the podcast.

My top song came from Kero Kero Bonito, they released an album a couple of years ago which I liked and now they have released the first single from their upcoming album.  I kept on the electro-pop theme for the first set, then when a bit more rock in the second set, and brought the tempo down for the last set.  The last song of that set by Kevin Krauter is a beautiful song and I'm looking forward to his full album out later this year.

Really any of the first 3 songs could have been my top song for this show, they are all just so good.  After that initial electro-pop set I settled in to some nice indie pop with the South Korean band Say Sue Me whom I have seen on a few playlists lately.  Then I started the last set with one of my favourite bands Wallflower and their great song Nowhere.

This year there were two albums that were vying for my top spot and it could have gone either way.  On another day perhaps the second album from Alvvays titled "Antisocialites" may have come out on top, as it also really great with a multitude of great songs.  But in the end I went with the album "Lovers" by Anna Lotterud who goes by the name Anna of the North, I just love every song,  it was telling that I had a really hard time to choose just two songs from it to play.
