Of course I named the show after the great album by the Smittens and I pay homage to the band by using a clip of their song 11:11 for my theme. I hope the band doesn't mind, but when I have talked to various members of the band after shows they seem like nice people whom I think would be good with it.

I also use this name for my DJ night happening occasionally at the Jane Bond in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada.

Note that the links to shows older than 6 months might not be working, if you really want those shows please send me an email and I can get them to you. (Note that prior to 2018 I called my podcast FireballXL5, so don't be confused if you look at an old setlist)

Special thanks to Jeff Woods for finding my a place to host my mp3s!

September 1, 2000

This show was varied with lots of different sets that are explained
below. Michelle and I were joined by Karen who was there but
never got on the mike,

On Sunday I'll be participating in the Terry Fox run to raise
money for cancer research as part of Team CKMS:
If anyone would like to sponsor me it would be greatly appreciated.

This week's show is very special as I'll be playing an interview
I did last week with west coast artist Carolyn Mark, she is playing
at the Jane Bond on Saturday night and I would recommend it for
everyone. She has been a fixture on the west coast for the last
10 years playing her style of alt-country, she sounds similar to
Neko Case with whom she has also recorded.

I didn't want this to get lost in the shuffle, so I would like to
announce the passing of a good friend a few weeks ago: the Tulane
Restaurant. I was dropped off there after being driven back from
Toronto August 12, and when I entered the restaurant I noticed it
was very bare on the walls, after I ordered the waitress said she
would have to see if they hadn't packed it up because they were
closing the next day. I asked if they were closing for renovations,
but she said that it was for good, apparantly the location is now
so lucrative because of the big box stores that Wendy's is offering
more money for the land than the Tulane could. I thought I might be
the last customer ever, but according to the waitress there were
some people coming for breakfast the next morning (however a menu
did somehow slip into my bag before I left). I think I share
many good memories with the people on this list strolling into the
Tulane at any hour of the day for a bit to eat and it will be
missed. As a side note I passed by the other day and there is
nothing left but a hole in the ground. In honour of the restaurant
I played the song by Jerry Jerry titled "Bad Luck at Tulane".

southern Ontario this year, ironically on the day of the show it
went above 30 degrees for the first time this year in Waterloo

Note 2: My current favourite song, it could listen to it all the time.

Note 3: The Sixths released their latest album on the Tuesday after
the show, the band is a project of Magnetic Fields front man Stephin
Merrit, he writes the songs and he gets semi-famous alternative
vocalists to sing them. More on them next week.
